Good list strat, a couple I don't have and will have to explore. Another thing in 77's favor IMHO is Jerry's voice had "matured" but NOT "deteriated" at this point.
A sage old head pointed me to a couple others from this year that I really love:

10/16/77 Bobby's 30th but a Jerry day, unique 76 sounding show with exceptional Sugaree and Black Peter
3/19/77 you mentioned 18th but this show is killer as well with Estimated, Terrapin>Playin'>Samson>Playin' to end 1st set!
12/27/77 another stellar 1st set show with several songs rarely heard in 77
5/77 Palladium run has some great moments also with 2 classic Comes a Times
11/4/77 Dupree's bust out and one of the best 2nd sets of the year

This year is so thick with good shows that I think you could argue that Barton Hall isn't even in the top three!!! Seriously.

Enjoy reading your takes drop me a line if you want skiotis@excite.com

Some of my personal favs that have not been mentioned are 5/18, 5/19, 5/28, 10/28. I have never heard anyone ever talk about 5/28 and it's in my top five. Check out the second set in particular. Estimated>Playin'>Terrapin>Not Fade Away is insanely good. Almost too good (if that's possible). Check it out and see for yourself. Just to let you guys know I have listened to every 77 there is on this site and this is the real deal.

I find it humorous the way everybody is debating what was the best show of 1977. C'MON!!!!! There are truly so many good jams and epic versions of songs that year that to put one show above another is humorous. I don't think I've seen anyone mention 4-29-77 or 5-1-77 which to me are both epic shows along with 5-4-77, 5-5, 5-7....etc. Jerry's jam out of China Doll on 5-19-77 is jaw dropping....The "Casey Jones" opener at Portland. The set ending "Franklin's Tower" on 9-29-77 might be the best ever. There's just WAY too many good shows from this era.......but it's a fun discussion :)
